HumbyTV  began when Tom Rowles brought the idea of live streaming local concerts and events to a HSU Video Production class in the Spring of 2009. There he met Anthony Pulliam, a journalism major, who shared Tom's passion and drive for producing awesome and original content that highlighted the amazing and unique talents of Humboldt County, California. With the help of Jordan Keeling, Gaura Allen and a few other Humboldt State Students, HumbyTV was officially launched on January 21, 2010.

Since then, Humby has added on 11 HSU (and CR) interns who have been working 'round the clock to continue providing original local entertainment.
